Desperate for Hot Pot--a Chinese meal...not something you smoke!

Hey mom, sorry to hear about Cheryl, at least her battle is over and she is restored to happiness :)(A very dear friend of mine passed away last week.)
I'm so grateful for the Plan of Salvation, it brings me a lot of peace. Mom, I am so thankful that you are my mom, and that dad is my dad! I love my life! (Just like Jim) :)(I told him of a cute moment with Jimmy last week when, after I finished brushing his teeth he look up at me a with a HUGE grin stated "Mom, I love myself!")  I am so glad I was taught the Gospel from when I was young, and could make my choice early in life! This world is crazy! But the Gospel brings true joy and happiness, it's hard to explain to others. I wouldn't trade the Gospel for anything! Thank you for your support on me coming on a mission!

I had a dream that you and dad got called to be Mission President here, and you always had me over to eat! And I got to see the kids! It was cool!

Cool about school mom! That is awesome! I think that is a great idea!(I'm going back to school!)

I would have love to go to that conference! People are so interesting! I definitely get that from you!
You can do anything you put your mind to! (I attended a conference on Culturally Based Violence and told him all about it...cuz he loves that stuff too!)

Elder Williams, who lives with me tells me that one of the people he wants to be like is Ellon Musk (not sure how it is spelled). He is from South Africa, he invented PayPal and some other stuff. Look him up, apparently he just decided out of college he wanted to change three things in the world, The Internet, space and energy. He has done all three already and is 42 and a billionaire. Great example that we really can to anything we put our minds too!

Well this week has been pretty tough. Not sure why, but been struggling a lot to get things done. But we still have had miracles! Yesterday we were going to eat Hot Pot and Amber's friends house, but we needed another guy. (If they are having dinner/appointments with women only, they have to have enough men to balance it so they are never in an inappropriate situation.) We asked everyone from Church on Saturday and they were all busy! So we were desperately trying to find someone! Amber called all her friends but nothing. So we said a prayer. Right then, Amber's phone rings, it's a guy who has time and wants to come! A miracle! (Not only that but Elder Shaver and I knocked into him in our first week together! LOL).

So long story short, as long as we keep the commandments we will be blessed. Nuff said!

I love you all so much! Miss yous!

Changes

Hey!

Well it has been a pretty emotional week, Elder Bell.... Matthew is home now, my first companion already gone is an interesting feeling. Elder Laboulaye is back in the Branch with Elder Riff though, and they are great! Elder Shaver and I have been keeping busy and the area is in pretty good shape. Elder Bell has taught me a lot about how to help others, and it has really been making a difference, I really feel like I am helping people.

So happy you made it home safe from San Francisco! Sounds like it was a blast! Oh and cool fire dragon story, wouldn't mind one of those here, melt some of the snow and such. Good to hear about Joe.Tell Grandma I say Happy B-day!

This week, I would say we have been preparing the way for big miracles to take place, so we will see, maybe coming soon. Other than that just been busy meeting people, teaching, being a missionary. Oh we got kicked out of a building for knocking in it! That was fun. Yesterday at a YSA activity we had Hot Pot! Soooo good! We will definitely have hot pot parties!

Finished the Book of Mormon time number 2 on the mission! I highlighted all the references to the Saviour in Yellow... there is a lot of yellow. This time I am going through looking for how to be the best missionary I can! Pretty good stuff so far, I love Nephi. I really have a testimony of the Book of Mormon... if you want to know if God is real, if this Church is true...anything really, you can read and pray about the Book of Mormon! I am coming understand more and more, just how it is the keystone of our religion! I Love It!

Well Hope you have a fantastic week! Africa coming up!

This is a fire devil...

SCIENCE BEHIND THE STORM
These fire tornadoes are a natural rarity, but when they occur they predictably cause significant damage.
A fire tornado, also know as a fire devil, is caused when a column of warm, rising air comes into contact - or causes - a fire on the ground.
These fire whirls are known to last for around two minutes on the very rare occasions they take place.
But Mr Tangey found himself mesmerized by the tornado for more than 40 minutes.
The 52-year-old said: 'The weather was perfectly still and it was about 25 degrees celsius - it was an entirely uneventful day.
'Then the next thing a man is yelling 'what the heck is that?' and I turned around and saw a 30-metre fire tornado.
'I was about 300-metres away and there was no wind but the tornado sounded like a fighter jet. My jaw just dropped.'
Mr Tangey, who runs Alice Springs Film and Television, in central Australia, described it as a 'once in ten lifetimes experience'.

Happy Days.

Hey!

I haven't used FaceBook in 6 months, there is a life outside of the computer! Isn't it incredible! lol Ya Amber is great! She took us out to Hot Pot last week... yummy yummy! (I went off fb for now as it is too distracting sometimes and full of stuff I really don't care to see/read...and Amber is a wonderful woman that keeps me updated on Taylor...extra pictures etc. and just keeps tabs on him for me and is a wonderful friend!)

Haha Love hearing about the kids, I love them so much! What a boy that Reg, I loved the pics they sent! I LOVE the way Reggie draws people! XD
I'm glad I made his cut!(Reggie said to me the other day "Mom, I wish there was just one Mom and Dad and one kid."  When I asked him why...his response:  "Then no one can bother me."  So I continued to mention all the other kids and how it would be terribly lonely for him..."Well, okay, how about Taylor, Jimmy, Dane and me?"  Well, Lewis found out he didn't make the 'cut'...although at home, Lew is Reggie's favourite person...and he just had to laugh...so I told Taylor he made it and that he could go ahead and enjoy his popularity vote--and I'm pretty sure it's not just a case of 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' as Taylor just seems to have that affect on everyone, all the time!)

Well this week has been GREAT!!! Soooo we had a baptism in our branch on Saturday! He Lan was baptized! It was super special! Elder Shaver baptized her! Why a baptism out of no where you ask? Well He Lan had to go back to China suddenly, but really wanted to be baptized, so we met everyday, taught her, and got her ready! It was an incredible experience and one I am sure I will remember forever! She is great! She might be back in 6 months or so.

Sunday was also incredible! It is Elder Bell's last sunday, he goes home on Wednesday! Crazy that my trainer is leaving. He spoke in Church, it was really heart felt and moving. Not only that but we had almost 70 people and Church! The highest I have ever seen! It was definitely a miracle! The Branch is growing for sure!(Members of the church are divided geographically into 'wards' or groups.  Sometimes one Chapel holds 4 different services on Sundays to accommodate large numbers of members in an area--they meet at different times staggered throughout the day (Sunday).  Each Ward is named or numbered and as soon as the membership grows in that Ward, it usually splits again.  If there are fewer members in an area, it is referred to as a Branch as opposed to a larger Ward.  A Branch will turn into a Ward once the membership reaches a certain number.  Taylor serves in an area right now where there is a Branch...but it sounds like it's growing and will certainly turn into a Ward at some point in the future!)

We also met a really awesome guy named Song! We met with him twice, then he came to church. He is great! He wants to visit the Sacred Grove and is super excited to be baptized! (The Sacred Grove is an historical site preserved by the church and represents an important and special part of our history.  It is open to anyone to visit and is a beautiful place to see!  It is located in Palmyra, NY --upstate New York.)

All in all, I'd say it has been a great week!

Love you!

Love Elder Heinzlmeir!

Cabane à sucre!

Hey!

Thanks for all the skiing pics! They are great! Can't believe Dane is skiing! He is just a wee little one! And Dad too eh? I'm impressed.

This week has been quite alright on the missionary front. My trainer Elder Bell goes home next Wednesday! Crazy.

We saw Old Montreal last week... and had Cabane a Sucre! soooo yummy!

Also had a few miracles this week! On splits with Elder Bell, we were teaching this really cool guy named Lei. We invited him to be baptized and he accepted! I'm so excited for him. We will see what happens.

In our zone study we were talking about being grateful. There is a power that comes from thinking of things you are grateful for. My prayers have taken a cool turn, I feel they are more meaningful now. Why not give it a try? I figure if I can be thankful for twice as many things as I ask for that will keep me humble. I really am truly grateful for all the blessings that Heavenly Father has given me, including an incredible family and this chance to be a missionary.

This week we were doing a lot of knocking with little results. We couldn't find anyone that would even let us in to warm up! They would tell us "It's freezing!" We would reply "Yes! Yes it is!" Then yesterday a miracle happened. We were fasting, it being fast sunday and all, and we prayed about where we should go. We picked a place and went, and in an hour 2 people listened and invited us back! The Lord answers prayers and really does bless our lives.

I love you all so much!
